Green Tea Extract is a botanical concentrate derived from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Unlike black tea, the leaves are steamed or pan-fired to prevent fermentation, preserving high levels of polyphenols. The most significant of these are catechins, specifically Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which provides the extract with its potent antioxidant and thermogenic properties.
