Key Features: White flakes/pellets/powder, highly hygroscopic, high solubility in water, exothermic dissolution, non-toxic, high calcium content.

Main Applications by Industry:

Dust Control & Road Stabilization: Applied on unpaved roads and construction sites to suppress dust and retain moisture.

Oil & Gas Drilling: Used in drilling fluids for well stabilization, weighting, and as a completion/workover fluid.

Deicing & Anti-icing: Widely used for snow melting and ice prevention on roads, runways, and sidewalks, effective at low temperatures.

Concrete & Construction: As an accelerator to speed up concrete setting time in cold weather; also used in concrete curing compounds.

Industrial Processing: For drying gases (dehydration of natural gas and olefins), as a refrigerant brine in cooling systems, and in tyre manufacturing.

Wastewater Treatment: To remove fluoride and phosphate; also improves sludge dewatering by conditioning.

Food Industry: As a firming agent (E509) for canned vegetables and fruits, and as a calcium fortifier in beverages and tofu production.

Agriculture: Provides soluble calcium to prevent calcium deficiency disorders (e.g., blossom end rot in tomatoes); also adjusts soil cation balance.
